Michael Thorpe is a ski instructor at Stowe Mountain Resort and a Local Licensed Pastor appointed to the Wolcott United Methodist Church.  Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont. He has completed undergraduate study in music performance at the University of Lowell in Lowell, MA and Biology at Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, MA.  He served in the Air Force as a helicopter technician and spent many years in Vermont working as a mechanic. He is married to Laurie Thorpe and they make their home in Johnson, VT.
